We have added 6 more study tables to the library’s Rotunda. We have greatly increased the seated study areas for students. These tables can be used for study groups, meetings and for individual study. Please practice courtesy to those in the area that may be studying and keep noise to a minimum.
We also have more quiet study areas at the at the back of the library near the book shelves (stacks) and a few tables scattered within the stacks area. Also, study rooms are available for student checkout (no reservations).

The eLibrary Curriculum Edition includes two additional modules, the Literature and History Special Collections.

netLibrary has changed the look of their interface used to search for and view electronic books. Just a reminder: we get these electronic books through the TexShare consortia.
Important: You no longer have to check out an electronic book in order to read it online. You do still need to create and/or login with your free account so that you can access these electronic books from off-campus. The free accout links your login with MCC’s eBook collection.
Also, user account can be useful if you want to add an electronic book to your favorites list or if you want to take online notes while accessing/using the electronic book.

Welcome to the fall 2006 semester! The library web site has some new features that we would like for you to check out!
A library team has been working during the spring and summer to create a new look for the library’s website. We hope that you will take a look at the new pages and give us comments or suggestions for improvement. There are a few important changes that we want to point out:
1. Article Databases: new link name for the page that gives you access to our library’s article and resource databases. Previously, we had two links located on the homepage (Databases by Title and Databases by Subject) that are now combined into this one handy page!
2. Find Books (Online Catalog): new link name for access to the library’s Online Catalog where you can search for circulating, reference and reserve, online books and more…
3. Where Do I Start?: new page with a quick look at the best online searchable resources for articles, scholarly journals, newspapers, and hard copy articles.
4. Quick Research Links: A drop down list of quick links to our most commonly used database providers: Ebsco, Gale, WilsonWeb, eLibrary, netLibrary. The drop down box also includes a handy link to our Works Cited help page.
5. Works Cited page: A handy new page with information about the MCC Writing Center, links to online sources of works cited information, and information about the library’s databases to assist you with citing these online article sources.
Please send any comments or suggestions to our online Suggestion Box.

To view the eBook, go to the Library’s homepage and select NetLibrary from the left hand of the screen or in the Databases by Title listing. The eBook is accessible from the lower right corner of the NetLibrary main page if you are a current MCC student, faculty or staff. The eBook can only be accessed by one person at a time; therefore, be sure to close the book when are finished viewing the item.
