ProQuest will be taking a maintenance window to install infrastructure upgrades ensuring continued reliable performance. The 12-hour maintenance window will run between:
Saturday February 17, 2007 at 21:00 CST (9 PM) and
Sunday February 18, 2007 9:00 CST (9 AM).
The following products will be unavailable during this window:
ProQuest Newsstand, ELibrary Curriculum, and Texas Digital Sanborn Maps.

The multi-library and database search system from the the Texas State Library called “Library of Texas” will be unavailable Saturday, February 10 from 7:00 pm to 2:00 am. Also, any pages located at texshare.edu will be inaccessible during this time. This will not affect our access to individual TexShare databases.

At the beginning of the semester, our MCC librarians presented a session at MCC’s Professional Development Day. In celebration of African-American History Month, NetLibrary has partnered with Blackwell Publishing to offer A Companion to African-American Studies as the February eBook of the Month. A groundbreaking re-appraisal of the history and future of African-American studies, the Companion includes original essays by expert scholars in the field and covers each topic with authority and clarity.
To view the eBook, go to the Library’s homepage and select NetLibrary from the Quick Research Links on the left of the screen or in the Article Databases listing. The eBook is accessible from the lower right corner of the NetLibrary main page if you are a current MCC student, faculty or staff. The eBook can only be accessed by one person at a time; therefore, be sure to close the book when are finished viewing the item.
