Writing Papers?
Don’t forget that the Writing Center (SC 222, 299-8356) is available to assist students:
- Help with class essays, research papers, academic writing, letter writing, and resumes
- Aided instruction through computer tutorials and ESL/ESOL software
- Word processing help
The library has copies of the MLA and APA style guides; check out a copy for 2 hours to use in the library.

Printing in the library
If you are a new student at MCC and are planning to print or make copies in the MCC Library for the first time, you must use your activated Highlander OneCard to pay for prints and copies with money deposited to your campus funds.
End of Semester Book Due Dates
Any circulating books checked out on or after Sunday, November 25 will be due Friday, Dec. 7, 2007. The last day to check out books is December 6, 2007, but the book will be due the following day, Friday, Dec. 7, 2007.
(The due date for faculty and staff is Dec. 14, 2007.)
Library Hours during the end of the semester
Library hours will remain the same throughout the rest of the fall semester.
December Minimester
During the December Minimester, the library will be closed from Dec. 15 to January 6. The library’s web site and online databases will be available to December minimester students and the Ask a Librarian email service will also be available.

The library’s hours surrounding the Thanksgiving holiday are as follows:
Tuesday, Nov 20 we will close early at 5:00 pm.
Wednesday, Nov 21 - Saturday Nov 24, the library will be CLOSED.
Sunday, Nov 25, we will resume normal hours from 3:00 - 9:00 pm.

Casa de Café, an annual event celebrating the artistic and literary talents of MCC students and benefiting Storybook Christmas, will be held in the LTC Rotunda on the third floor on November 14 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
Entries from the Stone Circle will be presented. Musical entertainment and refreshments will be provided.
Admission is $2.00 per person or a new children’s book and $10 per class.
This event will benefit Storybook Christmas, a joint effort with the Central Texas Literacy Coalition and the Waco Tribune Herald. The aim of Storybook Christmas is to give at least one new book to every child in McLennan County grades 3-10 who does not have a book of their own.
