The MCC Library’s online subscription database interface Ebscohost from Ebsco will be getting an updated design during July 2008 (referred to as Ebscohost 2.0). Through Ebscohost, Ebsco provides searching on such databases as Academic Search Complete, CINAHL with Full Text, MasterFILE Premier, Business Source Complete, and many others.

Ebscohost’s new search screen will look slightly different. Additionally, we will have a new search results screen, and article record/citation screen and more prominently placed icons for Full Text, Print, Email, Save, and other actions. The new sidebar will also display images related to the displayed articles and quick access to common results limiters (full text, peer-reviewed, date).

This change will occur sometime in July 2008. The library will send out screenshots soon and a notification when the extract date of the transition is made known to us.
